Nürnberger Tage für Migration 2025
From 11 to 12 November 2025, the Refugee Advisory Board Germany (RAB Germany) participated in the Nürnberger Tag für Migration (Nuremberg Migration Days), hosted by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) at its headquarters in Nuremberg.
The annual conference, described as BAMF’s largest migration forum, brings together key stakeholders from migration, asylum and integration sectors to discuss current developments and policy challenges. The 2025 edition focused on the theme “Asylum and integration policy in transition – what challenges do we face?”, addressing both national and European perspectives.
Discussions covered the implementation of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS), integration policy approaches, and the EU Asylum Pact expected to come into force in 2026. Participation in panel sessions and World Café dialogues provided insights into migration management, border procedures and institutional cooperation, including the role of the German Federal Police in asylum processes.
RAB Germany’s engagement also highlighted the importance of strengthening the inclusion of refugee perspectives and lived experiences within policy discussions. On the margins of the event, participation contributed to increased visibility and opened opportunities for follow-up exchange and future collaboration with BAMF stakeholders.
