Advancing Diversity and Inclusion: RAB Germany at the German Social Democrats’ Parliamentary Conference

Zia Ferozpur and Abdul Basir Zarify, members of the Refugee Advisory Board Germany (RAB Germany), participated in the “Vielfaltskonferenz der SPD-Bundestagsfraktion”, held at the Paul-Löbe-Haus of the German Bundestag in Berlin. 

The conference brought together policymakers, civil society actors and experts to discuss migration as a key societal force. Exchanges focused on topics such as access to work and education, labour market integration, political participation of young people with migration histories and strategies to counter right-wing extremism. 

Through interactive workshops and a closing panel discussion, participants shared perspectives on how diversity strengthens democracy and social cohesion. The discussions underlined the importance of inclusive policies in fostering a resilient and solidaristic society.
