Towards Durable Solutions: RAB Germany Joins Panel on Internal Displacement

As part of this year’s World Refugee Day activities, Ahmad Zia Ferozpur, a representative of the Refugee Advisory Board Germany (RAB Germany), participated in a panel discussion on internal displacement and approaches for durable solutions, organised by the German Federal Foreign Office. Zia joined Katharina Ahrendts from the German Federal Foreign Office and Melanie Hauenstein from UNDP Germany in the discussion, moderated by Andreas Halbig. 

The panel addressed the growing global challenge of internal displacement and highlighted the need for sustainable, long-term responses that support internally displaced persons and affected communities. Discussions focused on durable solutions, cooperation across sectors and the importance of placing displaced people’s perspectives at the centre of policy and programming.
